A plane crashes on a deserted island. The only survivors are a group of school boys. There are no homes or schools, no adults, no rules and before long the boys' fragile sense of order begins to collapse. They live in a land of bright exotic birds and dark blue seas, but at night their dreams are inhabited by a terrifying beast…Soon this well behaved group has turned into a bloodthirsty and murderous tribe…
William Golding’s classic novel is adapted by Nigel Williams into a stunning, powerful and moving stage play. This new production is directed by Cameron Jack, whose previous shows at the Broadway Studio have included A Clockwork Orange, Trainspotting, One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest and The Elephant Man.
