International Women's Day at Lewisham Library -author event

Janett Plummer and Agnes Meadows will be celebrating International Women's Week and World Book Day at Lewisham Library tonight, 7th March from 8pm to 9.30pm

World Book Day at Lewisham Library ends with an after hours opportunity to enjoy two poets published by Flipped Eye Publishing as they strut their stuff in person. Lewisham-based Janett Plummer is a multiple award-winning poet, both for her written work and live performances at poetry slam events. Agnes Meadows has read at and given workshops at events and festivals across the world. She runs Loose Muse, the capital’s only regular event for women writers at the Poetry Café and is a former adviser on poetry for Channel 4 TV.

Lewisham Library has just been refurbished - come and have a look at our 'new' ground floor before the event and borrow a book for World Book Day!

This is an International Women's Week theme spoken word event with top poets published by Flipped Eye publishing.
