An ‘Art-Park Happening’ in which everyone is invited to see how a visually stunning installation emerges. Simply Red & Green will show how much fun can be had with some old rags and a pot of paint. Lewisham artists will create an exciting, red sculptural installation made of discarded fabrics, tired old cloth, any unwanted material that will be painted simply red and set against the park’s existing natural green. Placing colours together can intensify each another. This is called ‘simultaneous contrast.’ In other words ‘it can make your eyes go funny!
