Tomorrow’s Warrior’s Jazz Orchestra

Perform Duke Ellington’s ‘The Queen’s Suite’.
The 16-piece Tomorrow’s Warrior’s Jazz Orchestra is proud to bring to
Blackheath Halls a night of sentimental and poignant Classic Jazz and Big
Band by one of the most important composers in the history of jazz, Duke
Ellington. Inspired by the beauty and majesty of nature, ‘The Queen’s Suite’
- one of Ellington’s greatest and most beautiful works which he dedicated
to Her Majesty The Queen – remained hidden from the public until after
Ellington’s death when it received its premiere in 1998. The last known
performance of The Queen’s Suite in its entirety was at the Royal
Festival Hall in 1989.
