On Saturday 13 December 2008 several festive events are taking place around the borough.
The Brockley Christmas Market is happening from 2pm - 6pm in Coulgate Street. There will be a craft market and food stalls, carol singing and a lantern parade.
Ladywell is holding its first ever Christmas Market, from 11am - 5pm outside Ladywell station on Ladywell High Road. There will be food stalls, arts, crafts, jewellery and ceramics made by local artists, as well as mulled wine and free mince pies from 4pm at the nearby Ladywell Tavern. The Mayor of Lewisham, Sir Steve Bullock, will be switching on the Christmas Tree Lights at 3pm.
The Downham Christmas Festival is taking place at Downham Leisure Centre from 11am - 3pm. A Santa's Grotto, face painting, a bouncy castle and an ice rink will be available for children, and there will be arts and crafts stalls for parents.
