The 113th Catford CC Classic Hill Climb ‘the World’s Oldest Cycle Race in existence’ will be held at 10.30am on 12th October 2008 on Yorks Hill, Near Sevenoaks , Kent. The course record of 1 min 47.6 sec was set by Phil Mason a quarter of a century ago. The ‘Catford’ was first held in 1887 and has always been both a spectacle and a social occasion so vast crowds are again expected. Catford CC is organising a group ride to Yorks Hill from Bromley South Station meeting at 9.00am (Catch the 8.24 from Victoria).
