QWAG Annual Riverwalk

Find out everything you wanted to know (and more!) about the River Pool on this year’s riverwalk. From the meeting point in Cator Park we will walk the river’s entire length to Catford Bridge, exposing its innermost secrets as we go! Leaving Cator Park (an ideal candidate for naturalisation), the walk follows the Waterlink Way via the River Pool Linear Park (a section of river restored to a new channel 15 years ago), to the confluence with the River Ravensbourne and on to Catford.

Meet in Cator Park where Lennard Road crosses the River Pool, 300 metres west of New Beckenham station. The 3½ kilometre walk starts at 14:00 and will take between 2 and 2½ hours to complete. It can also be joined or left at Lower Sydenham - but please confirm the meeting location and time with QWAG beforehand if you wish to join here. The walk is linear – there is a half-hourly train service between Catford Bridge and New Beckenham and ample free parking is available in the vicinity of both stations. Booking is not required and the walk is free.
